Stretch Satin Coverking's Stretch Satin Custom Car
Covers are made for vehicles parked indoors, and for owners who want
nothing but the best for their vehicle. There is no alternative, available from any supplier, for this cover. The face feels like lingerie. The
material has Lycra fibers for stretch in both directions, mirroring
every perfect contour of your vehicle. And the inner liner is the
softest fleece found on any car cover - specially designed not to rub
off on convertible tops. It is available in solid color designs,
including Black, Steel Gray, Pearl White, Burgundy Red, Dark Blue, Fly
Yellow, Tan, and Forest Green. Triguard For those who want the Coverking Custom Fit, but don't
need protection from heavy weather, Triguard Custom Car Covers are a
great choice. Triguard is a lightweight, three layer material which
protects from dirt, dust, light water, bird droppings and other mild
hazards. It
is perfect for use in a garage or under a carport. Triguard is also
treated with UV inhibitors, which helps it stand up to ultra-violet
rays emitted by the sun. Although Triguard contains these UV
inhibitors, it is not recommended for very sunny climates - Silverguard™ or Stormproof™ would be better options. Triguard covers are gray in color, and offered with licensed GM logos.
Triguard™ is a thin and lightweight fabric. The lightness makes it very
easy to handle, but offers little protection from dings and scratches.
If your vehicle is exposed to dings and scratches from pets, children
or a crowded garage, we recommend Coverbond 4.
Coverbond 4 4 layers make Coverbond 4 a very thick and bulky Custom
Car Cover. It is not suggested for daily users, or for people with
large SUVs. However, the extra bulk helps to guard against minor nicks
and dings, and even helps in light hail. Coverbond 4 is suggested for
moderate weather or indoor use. Mosom Mosom™ is a three layer material. The outer layers are
Spunbond Polyropylene, and the middle layer is a special micro-porus
film. The middle film layer is an excellent rain barrier, while
allowing for vapors to pass through. It is a
great choice for all-round car cover use, suggested for most conditions
except extreme sun, snow or ice - in which case we suggest Stormproof™.
Mosom is a non-woven material, so in the unlikely event a rip occurs in
the material, it will not run.
Mosom™ car covers are very breathable, almost as breathable as Stormproof™. If your vehicle is exposed to rain for long durations, Mosom™ or Stormproof™
are both excellent choices. If protection from light nicks, scratches
and light hail is required, Coverbond 4 is the best choice.
Mosom™ is soft to the touch and won't scratch a vehicle finish
(assuming the vehicle is clean when the cover is applied). Mosom™ is
available in gray color, and offered with optional embroidery and
officially licensed GM logos.
There
are other materials on the market which have the same basic
construction - a micro-porus film layer laminated to two layers of
Spunbond Polypropylen. Coverking developed Mosom™ specifically
for use as a car cover material, and has added the highest levels of
U.V. inhibitors - which prevent degredation in sunny climates.
Coverking tests all it's materials, including Mosom™, to be compatible
with automotive paints and clear coats. Because Coverking is TS16949 and QS-9000 certified, all materials used for Custom Car Covers are tested and OEM approved. Stormshield Made by Guilford Mills, Stormshield is a unique
polyester knitted Custom Car Cover fabric with a "peach fizz" lining.
The lining adds extra softness and thickness. Stormshield is perfect
for virtually all weather conditions. Stormshield is available in
black, gray, blue, red, yellow and tan. In addition, two tone
combinations are available with black sides and a color center. Silverguard™ Silverguard™ is a 300 denier polyester material with a
reflective and water resistant coating. It is a great choice for
all-round car cover use, suggested for most conditions except extreme
rain, snow or ice - in which case we suggest Stormproof™.
300 denier is a strong, heavy weave which will not rip or tear easily.
The silver coating on Silverguard™ does an excellent job of reflecting
sunlight, while keeping rain and animal droppings from damaging the
vehicle finish.
Silverguard™ car covers are breathable, although not as breathable as Mosom™ or Stormproof™. If your vehicle is exposed to rain for long durations, Mosom™ or Stormproof™
are better car cover options. If protection from light nicks, scratches
and light hail is required, Coverbond 4 is the best choice.
Silverguard™ is soft to the touch and won't scratch a vehicle finish
(assuming the vehicle is clean when the cover is applied). Silverguard
is available in silver color, and offered with optional embroidery and
officially licensed GM logos.
Beware
of materials which claim to be similar, but are only half the weight -
150 denier material is not suitable for car cover use. Coverking tests
all it's materials, including Silverguard™, to be compatible with
automotive paints and clear coats. Because Coverking is TS16949 and QS-9000 certified, all materials used for Custom Car Covers are tested and OEM approved.
Stormproof The culmination of over 15 years of development,
Stormproof™ material was designed by Coverking and made by one of the
world's leading textile mills. It is the most waterproof yet breathable
car cover material available. Stormproof™ car cover material exhibits
outstanding sun and U.V. resistance, able to last for years in Arizona
sun without fading. The micro-fiber base material is soft to the touch
and won't scratch a car's paint - yet is rolls up into a very compact
package for easy storage. Stormproof™ is available in colors, and also
with licensed GM logos.
Stormproof™ is unique in the field of Custom Car Cover materials in that it is Untreated, Uncoated, and Unprocessed.
Through Coverking's advanced textile engineering, Stormproof™
accomplishes the needs of a premium Car Cover material without the
coatings which can easily wear off, the treatments which fade over
time, and the processing which can be undone the first time it is
exposed to water. Speak to somebody who has owned other "premium" Car
Cover materials and you'll hear how the other Car Cover fabrics work as
advertised for the first few months, but then degrade in their water
resistance - the problem is that the treatments and coatings can wear
off, scratch off, or simply wash off.
Stormproof™ is immune to this, because it is inherently
water resistant. It has no coating, so it is very breathable. And the
fibers have been designed to reflect UV rays, and be immune to the
color fading caused by the harsh sun.
Stormproof™ is the only Car Cover material we can suggest for any
climate or car cover need - it excels in every area except protection
from dings and hail (in which case we recommend Coverbond 4). Stormproof™ will last for years, and compliment your vehicle with the exciting colors and two tone designs it is offered in.
